If this was a covert CIA operation they why wasn’t the ambassador’s team provided more protection upfront or at least have a backup plan for security/rescue? He warned them of a hostile enviroment, terrorists nearby and his requests were denied and ignored. Gross incompetence by the flux ups in Wash DC. and their obfuscations/coverups.
I think so too. and maybe the amb found out what the traitor had in mind for him. If those assumptions are correct then the meeting with the Turkish amb that night might’ve had more to do with getting out of that place alive.
