Pastor Joseph Lowery, a civil rights movement hero who delivered the benediction at President Obama’s inauguration, reportedly said that he is shocked that any black Americans would stay home with Obama on the ballot and suggested that all or most white people would go to hell.
The local outlet paraphrases Lowery’s comments. “Lowery said that when he was a young militant, he used to say all white folks were going to hell,” the Monroe County Reporter (Ga.) says in covering a rally in Forsyth, Georgia. “Then he mellowed and just said most of them were. Now, he said, he is back to where he was.”

I was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. It was a great little town up in until the late sixties after the Federal government passed the forced busing law and when the democrats took over the city government. Every democratic mayor of Flint has been a crook. The first one landed in jail for graft. The most recent democrat put a bunch of his friends on the payroll with do nothing jobs complete with great benefits, essentially sucking the city dry.
The original role of government, as intended by our Founders, was to be of service to the people, not gimme specialists.
“Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and everyone that loveth him that begat loveth him that is also begotten of him.” (1 John 5:1)
This verse says that those who are born again will LOVE other saved people (”begotten of [Jesus]”). For someone to say that “no white man is saved” manifests a hateful heart toward [all] white people, including those who are born again. It is prima facie evidence that the speaker is NOT saved.
I'll say it. I've met Joseph Lowery. I'm a white man. I disagree with his politics in the extreme, but when I met him he was extremely gracious, conversant, genteel and dignified. He seemed like a fine man, a respectful old-school Democrat. I have always had the same personal opinion of Andrew Young, whom I've also met.
It sounds like Rev. Lowery might have flipped his lid.
And Joseph Stalin was a sweetheart.
Still touchy about that slavery business apparently.
I think that’s largely behind us now. Until we become Chinese slaves, that is to say.
