History repeated: New York's 1977 blackout prompted riots, looting and mayhem causing millions of dollars worth of damage. Depending upon the neighborhood "looting" back then was not looting.. it was part of the common practice of those days, before credit cards were so common, called lay-away.
Thus what might be looting (see photo) in New York City would part of retail sales in Los Angeles. The customers were there to retrieve their goods paid for by outrageous high prices charged to the racist white retailers in the neighborhood.
I did not make that up.. some MSM employees back then actually reported lootings as such.
