They don’t want to have to contribute to their own pensions.
And what if taxpayers only helped fund classes that will help someone get a job? If they want to take ‘women’s studies’ or ‘LGBT studies’ then they can pay for it themselves.
...And to the invading Mexican hordes.
But the Democrat politicians would never have gotten away with it for as long as they have without the inexplicable complicity (votes) of a lot of regular, working, taxpaying, traditional American familes. Jerry Brown and California's overwhelming Democrat legislature didn't get elected soley by the atheists, abortion enthusiasts, union pinky rings, condom-throwers, Boy Scout haters, hand-wringing college professors, Georgetown sluts, Hollywood drunks, minority "victim" class, America-hating malcontents, and the rest of the parasites, losers, and goofballs who comprise the Democrat party "base".
Many seemingly normal people voted for them, too.
No new taxes! The California legislature can’t raise taxes without a 2/3 majority vote, which is why there are three tax increase propositions on the ballot. Force these weasels in Sac to cut spending. Their threat of cutting police, fire and schools is just a scare tactic. Just say no!
Any tax payer is CA should sit down and read their local school district budget. Most are online in detail. Two big take aways from that will be that employees versus students have grown out of line..and are only now leveling out.
Reason..more illegals and immigrants with special needs. Plus public school is really now PreK to 14..with kids in the system longer than k to 12. In spite of those additional employees(teachers and admin) the test scores are worse.
Two..expenditures on capital improvements are not accounted for in most of the average $/student numbers you see. With essentially flat enrollment school districts are spending on more facilities and borrowing to do it..raising costs.
But the multiplier of having more kids with special needs..more years in school and higher and higher salaries...can’t go on.
