Yesterday Mitt Romney turned a previously scheduled campaign event in Ohio into a hurricane relief event. Romney asked supporters to bring canned goods and other supplies to help storm victims recover on the East Coast. He only spoke for ten minutes at the event and quickly jumped in to help load supplies. His campaign bus has been accepting hurricane relief donations since Monday in Northern Virginia. Sounds like a great idea right? Not according to MSNBC.
Reporters and anchors at the far-left TV outlet were appalled at Romney's efforts to give back to the community, after all, his charity and generosity doesn't fit with their "Romney is an evil rich guy who doesn't care about regular people" narrative.

Are these people sick? And yes you heard them correctly, they are actually criticizing Romney for trying to help people.
With all due respect to the Red Cross, they do amazing work, but they are also a large bureaucracy set up like the federal government. Andrea Mitchell made the point in the first video that Romney was collecting things "the Red Cross doesn't need" and that the Red Cross wants blood and money (which by the way, people like Mitt Romney are capable of donating large sums of money to organizations like the Red Cross because they are personally wealthy, something MSNBC has continually demonized).

Get those canned goods to local churches and they will be VALUABLE to the residents. FORGET all this garbage of “ we don’t need them, no way to distribute.” GRASS ROOTS needs to surface now.!!! LOCAL CHURCHES TO THE RESCUE!!!
Red Cross says the same thing at every disaster. They need to STFU. The canned goods and bottled water will go to local churches and shelters and be distributed there.
I start my day with Morning Joe every morning. As do most of my friends.
That is your problem. Didja ever think that the Salvation Army in the disaster areas might really like the canned goods? EVERYthing doesnn’t have to go to the Red Cross...
Red Cross CEO makes $500,000 a year and canned goods aren’t cash.
They personify the ungracious entitlement in this country.
You offer someone in need a free meal and they ask why isn’t a lobster dinner.
Never enough for them. Give me more or give me that.
The genuine act of kindness is lost on these people.
Unfortunately, networks don’t need an FCC license.
Romney said he was doing this for the Red Cross. You are acting as though this was an original quote from me. It was from the Red Cross.
Guess who gets my donations (it isn't the Red Cross), and the Red Cross doesn't have a lock on what is and isn't needed by other organizations.
Besides, remember the 9/11 fund, money is always welcome there.
Other people may see it differently, and I'm not saying not to help out if you feel so inclined, just put it where you think it will do the most good.
Other then blood we never give to the Red Cross or the United Way. No control over where the donations go or who gets it. Far to often the wrong people. We give to our Church or local organizations we know and trust.
When Houston had thousands of Katrina victims bussed in, there was definitely a need for food and clothes and there were easy places to drop off donations. Romney also encouraged donations to the red cross. The Red Cross can’t do it all on their own. There is nothing Romney could have done to make msnbc happy. They would have been all over him if he campaigned and all over him if he had done nothing. He chose to try and be useful.
For the record, If I was donating to a disaster area...the Red Cross would not be on my list of places to which I would donate. For my own reasons.
Are your friends liberals? I don't know of anyone else who makes a habit of watching that Godforsaken channel.
“the Red Cross wants blood and money”
Hell, I thought the liberal democrats had the market cornered on that!
Accusing Romney of ‘pandering’ is really classy. So...he should just sit and twiddle his thumbs while he watches Morning Joe every day like you and your friends do? LOL!
Don’t be moronic. You think people displaced by this storm don’t need food? It will get to those that need it.
Once more. MSNBC was not saying this. They were quoting the Red Cross. Criticism should lie with them, not msnbc. I live in San Antonio. We took in many, many Katrina victims here.
Did Romney say he was collecting for the Red Cross?
Yes.
PMSNBC: Cuts off its nose to spite its face.
If Obama gave a nickle PMSNBC would have an orgasm. Since a Republican did it, they don’t want to claim for the recipients not to take it because it came from a Republican.
He’s in a damned if you do/damned if you don’t situation.
If he helps, they call it pandering, if he does nothing then he doesn’t care about people.
W had the same problem during katrina.
