Obama Will View Hurricane Damage in New Jersey with Gov. Christie
WASHINGTON, D.C. President Obama will travel to New Jersey tomorrow to view the destruction wrought by Hurricane Sandy on the state. Scheduled to appear with Governor Chris Christie, Obama has suspended personal appearances at campaign events to respond to the storm.
Speaking at the Red Cross headquarters in Washington today, Obama said his thoughts and prayers were with those who lost loved ones in the devastating hurricane, which has claimed at least ten lives in New York City alone.
Obviously this is something that is heartbreaking for the entire nation, he said, And we certainly feel profoundly for all of the families whose lives have been upended, and are going to be going through some very tough times over the next several days, perhaps the next several weeks and months. The most important message that I have for them is that America is with you. We are standing behind you.

Christie's not really in a position to give Obama a hard time about this. His state suffered an unbelievable amount of devastation, and he needs the federal government's money and assistance. He can't throw the people of NJ under the bus by feuding with Obama right now. You have to pick your battles.
Didn't Homobama promise that "this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal ..." in his campaign speeches in 2008? How ironic to see what is happening now.
Some shrewd campaign advertiser needs to superimpose this speech over scenes of the wrath of Sandy.
Fine, but Christie doesn’t have to heap tons of undeserved praise on Obama either. Really, what does the president do in these situations? Nothing but tell members of his admin, “Get on that would you” as he plans campaign speeches.
Christie made me sick with his face in Obozo’s ass. Such effusive praise merely for a disaster declaration that has been standard with hurricanes for five decades? Look for Crispy Creme Christie’s quotes to be featured in an Obama ad in the swing states tomorrow. Pathetic blowhard tool. (And his RNC speech sucked too)
Christie and Obama will probably together, call on Congress to re-schedule the election.
Obama doesn’t need to do anything. Go to Hawaii for a week. It’s covered Obummer.
Now why would he(Christie)do that? He supports Romney through and through, he’s not going to cancel the election to help Obama beat Romney, for heaven’s sake! For all we know, he’s probably trying to pile hot coals on him, or damning him with faint praise, or something!
I have told all this is my last election in which I will be active. I am horrified at the nastiness and schoolyard taunts and name calling. Our founding fathers must be rolling over in their graves. How undignified and uncivil.
There is absolutely no need for this. Gov. Christi has done a wonderful job and President Obama is doing exactly what is expected of the President. I will never understand the squawling and hateful names and comments. I have no idea what you would have had these two men do different. They both have handled this well and done what they are supposed to do. This just makes us look dreadful and deserving of absolutely no respect. None. It is shameful.
Oh and after your case of the vapors clears up,actually read up a bit about the presidential campaigns in the early days of the republic. You seem to harbor some fantasy that they were so genteel and dignified as compared to today. That is simply not the case.
LOL! "Crispy Creme Christie" (which radio host Mark Levin coined) is too much for you? Those Founding Fathers you reference were fond of accusing each other of bestiality and incest as part of campaign literature (those were just Burr vs. Jefferson and vice versa). My minor insult name is hardly worthy of your hyperbole. And Obama has done nothing worthy of special praise, let alone the bizarre, effusive praise from Christie that one would expect from a Dem. Gov. All he did was sign a disaster declaration. Even Bush did that with Katrina. Big whoop. Perhaps Crispy has an axe to grind with Romney, or wants to run for the job in 2016, which would be truly shameful.
I do not know when it became “cute” to bastardize someone’s name if one disagrees with them...but I find it tiresome and it does not reflect badly upon the one whose name you have bastardized...it reflects badly on the one doing it. It makes us look simple minded, mean spirited and unenlightened and less than bright. I could go on but won’t. Suffice it to say, it irritates the heck out of me. It is not conducive to healthy debate. It is also tasteless, pointless and vacuous. It is juvenile and sophomoric...I do not know why anyone would think it clever.
Sorry you bore the brunt of that. So many do it. You were just the latest to do it in a post to me....did I include inane, silly and pointless? Sorry...I will stop now, montag.
