Like I mentioned in other threads... because he occupies the WH, Obama benefits from the crisis created by the storm. It’s a natural response in this country.. good or bad (in this case... very bad).

Con Edison says 7 to 10 days before power is restored... the election is in seven days... cbs ny has on their website... liberals screaming about, “Why can’t the government restore the power faster than these companies say”? This storm will not help obama... it might today but tomorrow he starts paying for painting himself as a savior. I know... I have been through many massive storms and the government in NOT the solution.

The storm will have either no influence on Obama's support at all, or a negative influence if there's looting, social unrest, and/or a government screw-up of some kind.

I don't agree that this helps Obama. Allot of Marxist foot soldiers live and work in the areas hit hardest like NYC, Long Island & CT. Their servers will be down. They won't have time to agitate, blog, Tweet and make phone calls. They will be less likely to write political checks. When the early returns start coming in next week, The national popular vote will show RR up early because the Eastern Inner city turnout will be lessened. Obviously RR will not win NY, but the impression given might discourage some western Obama supporters. I just don't see this helping him.
