FEMA still has not been mobilized to fight the Gulf oil spill (Flashback)

But Team Obama has sent a team of lawyers to be ready to sue

President Obama defended his administration's response to the Gulf Oil Spill by visiting the area Sunday (5-2-10). It was unclear whether the visit was more in response to developments in the Gulf and along the coast or to the growing media criticism and complaints from local officials about how little they think the Federal government is doing to prevent damage from the spill.

The Washington Times filed this report Sunday and Administration officials defended Obama's actions on the Sunday talk shows. Nonetheless, criticism mounted as a former NOAA official said that Obama waited too long to act. It was also revealed Sunday that Obama has still not called the Federal Emergency Management Agency into action.

Almost two weeks after the explosion, Obama still hadn't called in FEMA... Remember this next time you hear the left praising big Federal government as the only hope in times of emergency.

Note to self - when expecting an emergency, move to a politically blue city or, better yet, a Chocolate City and plan the emergency for in the days before an election.

When the tree fell and wiped out a portion of my house the insurance adjuster suggested federal aid because they weren’t giving me enough for a total rebuild.

I took the $20,000 they gave me, paid off the house and rebuilt with my own money. The last thing I wanted was the feds coming here and telling me that I have to move due to the fact that I’m too close to the lake or something.
