As the president ended his briefing on Hurricane Sandy in the White House Situation Room and delivered a statement to reporters in the James Brady Briefing Room, the obvious question among press and pundits was, will his management of the disaster now wracking the northeast pay political dividends?
I am not worried at this point about the impact on the election, said Obama in his reply to the one question he took in the Briefing Room from CBS News Bill Plante, Im worried about the impact on families, and Im worried about the impact on our first responders. Im worried about the impact on our economy and on transportation...

I don’t think so. Everything he touches turns to crap.
Giuliani could help Romney out here by piping up about first responders.
Bullspit. EVERYTHING in Øbozo's universe revolves around the central calculus of his personal ambitions.
The one very real way where he could make certain that he doesn't allow a "serious crisis to go to waste" is immediately in the wake of the storm to start splashing (taxpayer) money around. ...or Øbomaphones ;-)
Yup.
But for Baltimore, Md. is a Red State.
Anything that suppresses the vote in Philly or Baltimore could devastate B.O.
Do you think NY could become a swing state in just a few days? Just a thought...
Tell me, Obama, what were you worried about when you condemned to DEATH, Glen Doherty, Tyrone Woods, Christopher Stevens and Sean Smith?
While they were still fighting and dying, were you worried when you simply went to bed?
Yes, NY could become a swing state if NYC voters don’t get to vote.
But for Philly, Pa is a Red State.

In 2004 Kerry won PA by less than 150,000 votes.
Kerry won Philly county by three times that number meaning that if the turnout in Philly had been down by a third, Bush would have won PA easily.
“So much for Obama slowing the rise of the oceans.”
Post of the day, above all the sturm and drang of the hurricane...
No I do not.
Bloomberg was so worried today that he was fining surfers.
Seriously! This is what he was worried about.
In some ways, I hope the blue cities are functioning well enough on election day. I would hate for the Romney admin to have to battle the “illegitimate” meme for 4 years.
The left has launched into a spewing slobbering frenzy over Romney’s (misquoted) 2011 FEMA remarks.
Surprised no mention of it here. Better keep an eye out, digging for more info.
Remember, this is NEW YORK CITY, have you ever might a type of person more whiny than a New Yorker? They complained about RUDY after 9/11! If anything is damaged at all they will cry bloody murder and since the republican party in New York State is pretty much non-existent it’ll all fall at the ruling democrats feet who will, in turn, pass the buck onto Barack and FEMA.
Yeah, I don’t think the place will be up and running again until Friday at the earliest. LOTS of finger-pointing ahead and it’s all blue-on-blue.

yep.
Romney may appear detached from Benghazigate, but behind the scenes, there is a plan . . .
Why don’t you two go to bed and get off your moms computer
“What could Obama do thats going to swing anything from the prior trajectories?”
What I’m afraid of is a ‘fix’. Let’s say that ‘votes’ are missing, mail ins are not counted from Republicans and Indies voting for Romney and are suddenly ‘lost’. Also I wonder if the cities power is out on voting day...no voting till up and running.
Stall time, time to toss things? Maybe I’m paranoid but I just don’t trust the Dems, and especially their big-o leader.
