I am going to sleep in my basement because the wind gusts are so strong and I fear another tree falling down and hitting my house. I have no power and already had two trees hit my outbuildings.
All the parkways are closed. Our first responders have been working non-stop. We are not complaining—we are tough and stubborn. But this is a tough one. Three million people have no power. All the bridges and all tunnels but one are flooded. No subways. No commuter railroad. No flights.
Prayers to my fellow New Yorkers.
Stay safe FRiend. I’m a midwesterner that has total sympathy and prayers for everyone in the path of Sandy.
A tornado knocked down a huge 50 year old Maple on my parent’s house a couple of years ago. Scary stuff.
I dread the damage that will be revealed in the morning. This is one horrifying storm. Hope you can get some sleep!
My thoughts are with you FRiend. I live about 20 miles west of Atlantic City but was spared any devastation. I think it’s better to be in the eye of the storm right in it’s path. You guys got it a lot worse than I did. Good luck!!!
