Romney was definitely heading toward a 5-6 point win. But with Sandy, who knows how this will impact the race.

"Romney was definitely heading toward a 5-6 point win. But with Sandy..."
Romney is still headed for a major blow-out of the Zero... but, with Sandy that blow-out will only be larger.

Sandy will have no impact on this election. Those of us who live directly in her path will be calling our insurance adjusters, runnng generators to pump out basements, and basically doing what we do after every major storm.
There is no Superdome, no 9th Ward, no caravan of refugees migrating to Houston, no looting, no FEMA trailer camps, no national charity campaign on TV. Just shore residents doing their thing.
No dramatic photo ops, no electoral opportunity.

Romney was definitely heading toward a 5-6 point win. But with Sandy, who knows how this will impact the race. One thing is for sure: Sandy will tend to reduce Obama's share of the popular vote. It's greatest impact will be on states from Maryland north -- and Obama figures to win all of these states with the possible exception of Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.
His EV total may not be affected. But thanks to Sandy, the turnout in these states will probably be significantly smaller than it might've been

If a certain segment of American society in major USA cities start to loot this week, post-Sandy, due lack of services and police presence as they did in New Orleans or L.A., I know how Middle America and Suburban America will vote watching those terrific scenes (that is, if the MSM does not black them out for fear of tarnishing the tar baby, His Grand Emperor).

Sandy’s not a hurricane, but that doesn’t matter with undecided voters.
Meanwhile, Todd Akin takes another blow with the death of his opponent’s mother. So it could be sympathy for the opponent that sinks Akin, instead of his “forcible rape” misstatement.
