Just saw a real time display of wind gusts in the area at the surface. Gusts were 40 to 79 mph. It looked like about 5-10 % of the reported gusts were just at Hurricane strength. So this was not a sustained hurricane went it made landfall. They admit that. And no place on land experienced sustained hurricane winds for a significant amount of time. It is not a monster, it is not a super storm, and it is not even a hurricane. Basically a strong tropical storm that combined with a cold front to simulate a noreaster with slightly stronger wind then usual.
Shoot. 50 mph wind is just a bad inconvenient golf day in OKLA.,don’t stop anybody though. Just have to adjust.
