Jeff and Jeremy chasing Sandy in NJ.
off air now, hope they are okay and back on later.
Checking in from near Sandy Hook, NJ. Not much rain but lots and lots of gusts. Comes and goes in bands. Will get real bad tonight.
NW New Jersey here..about 41 miles direct west of NYC..morris cty....windy here...light rain...most of the leaves are gone, occasional gust. I expect to lose power later, this area is notorious.....(just noticed birds still feeding...bring that in shortly before it becomes a missile)
Nice pic, but it’s not Sandy.
Cool - Thanks
I’m praying for you Miss Didi!
Wattsupwiththat.com has some good stuff on it about Sandy.

Somebody needs to make a graphic of Miss Liberty ducking to get away from the storm. I recall an old animated cartoon, or 3 Stooges/Abbot & Costello movie featuring a scene like that.
I live in NJ, on a cliff above Hoboken. So far not a lot of rain, though the wind makes the walking outside unpleasant.
When the rain comes hard, Hoboken will flood. It always does.
Hurricane Sandy is really slowing down FR today.
CT shoreline here, getting blasted. Watching the neighbor’s pool cover not doing its job.

A friend posted a picture from Atlantic City in Instagram that others picked up and have posted on Facebook (went to high school with me in KS of all places). Looks like most of the area is already under water.

Checking in from southern MD. Just rain/wind for now. Kids are out of school today and they’ve already called off school tomorrow. Nearby NAS Pax River is currently on “Installations and tenant commands on mission essential personnel only” status.
I went looking for live shore cams....everything is down...had the Statue of Liberty cam this am...that’s out now
One video showed planks of wood from it floating down the streets.

I will pray.
I was just in the hospital for a couple weeks myself with a MRSA infection and it occurred to me what the consequences would be if the power went out.
I will be praying for him and all those who are hospitalized.
Isn't just FR. NWS sites were timing out while I was trying to gather links for this thread. Finally gave up adding additional local weather links.
