Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume upbraided the press for its lack of interest in pursuing the Obama administration’s misstatements and dissembling on what they knew before and after the Benghazi terrorist attacks, lamenting on Fox News Sunday that “one of the problems we’re having here is, that it has fallen to this news organization, Fox News and a couple others, to do all the heavy lifting on this story.”
A “couple of others” may be generous. CBS’s Sharyl Attkisson is about the only other major news outlet journalist showing any interest. “The mainstream organs of the media that would be after this like a pack of hounds, if this were a Republican President,” Hume observed, “have been remarkably reticent.”

People know the smell of bs and that’s what MSM sells.
Obama’s favorability is down seven points in a week. They don’t control the message anymore!
The stench of the MSM coverup is spreading out to those not normally tuned in.

I agree that the MSM knows what sells but they defy that daily when they only report what is approved by their editors. So, while that statement holds some truth, it is not relevant when the news is antithetical to their beliefs.
What does happen is that they manage the bad news so that it becomes minor or inconsequential. They are really good at this...
If this actually becomes a national story, it will take either a confession from a major player or some other major discovery that they simply can not cover up.
This is not like Watergate. The media is and has always been about being Liberal. They simply will NOT go after Democrats like they would for Republicans. This is not so much bias as a built-in preference for the liberal party. They are too intertwined with their ideals.
So, no - the MSM is unlikely to ever explore this most egregious failing of this Administration. They most likely will support them to the end. They could care less about the military lives lost (not a liberal thing) nor the lives of Diplomats.
Disgusting isn’t it!
The last person Stevens saw, hour before the attack, was from turkey. U know that is a big part of why this happened.
Why isn’t the media asking why Obama was sending weapons to Syria?
No kidding... as it would certainly spell the end of Zero’s chance at re-election.
You’ll also notice that the Turkish ambassador was not accosted, but an hour after he left - the attack began. Something sure is stinky in this situation.
The disgusting media has to keep this quiet while they try to carry Obama across the election finish line again.
Where Obama is concerned the MSM is no longer the free press - they are publicists for the never ending Obama Campaign.
Mr. Hume needs to have his credentials checked. I can’t tell if he’s a journalist or a recruiter for Columbia. A few days ago he was saying that the Democrat Press Corps aren’t intentionally biased, it’s just some sort of accident. Now, a press that is intentionally covering for BHO, he describes as “remarkably reticent”? Reticent?
What this means is that the press have been “remarkably reserved” about Benghazi. It’s a blatant cover-up Brit! They are not reticent, they are lying. They aren’t reserved. They aren’t covering it at all!
It’s sure it’s just some sore of accident, Brit. They were just about to air a scathing expose on the cover-up in Benghazi when this whole Big Bird thing broke.
Nah, just in their genes... or in some cases in their jeans.
I wonder when people will realize the MSM is simply another arm of the DNC similar to NOW, Planned Parenthood, the NAACP, AFL-CIO, AARP, .... They get their talking points and they run with them. There is no greater evidence of this then what has happened in Lybia. People are pretty stupid to believe otherwise.
CBS? They still have news? I’m 39 haven’t watched it since I was 15.
I don’t know if it will hurt them. They never explored Obama’s Marxist and anti-colonialist past. That information, while more widely available, still isn’t common knowledge.
I think the erosoin has to occur over decades, unfortunately.
