Attendees at a Racine, Wisc., Tea Party rally Saturday were met with a parking lots full of nails deliberately placed there early in the morning before the event, which I attended.
This incident adds to a week where a gay Republican campaign worker was brutally beaten and, in a separate incident, a son of a local state senator was hospitalized after defending his Romney sign after two people attempted to remove it from his yard.
Saturdays Tea Party rally, which featured senate candidate Tommy Thompson (former governor), Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA), and Breitbarts Rebel Pundit, was held in one of the states most contentious areas.
Nancy Milholland, one of the organizers of the rally, said she was shocked to find the nails littering the lots when she arrived early to set up. A man caught the license plates of a van covered with Obama stickers leaving the scene, but police reportedly refused to take the information because there was no evidence of the van actually being connected to the incident.
The Tea Party attendees picked up as many of the nails as they could, although many of their tires had been punctured, and left the pile for all to see:
The rally continued, with 2,500 activists filling the venue, which is located not far from Paul Ryans town, Janesville. Tommy Thompson, who is running against one of the most extreme members of the U.S. House for the senate seat, Tammy Baldwin, gave a spirited speech calling on Wisconsinites once again to fight for their state and their countrys freedom.
Thompson himself had recently received the rousing endorsement of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giulinani in a conference call last week. Giuliani spoke of Thompsons aid to New York in the hours and days immediately following the September 11 attacks. Baldwin, meanwhile, was one of 11 representatives to refrain from voting in favor of a resolution to condemn Ahmadinejad. The choice between the two could not be clearer.
Ya know...they don’t especially care if things get better for them....they only wish things to get worse for you.
Something to think about.
Not even a gesture toward police work and checking out the van. There have been far too many incidents of police in Wisconsin aiding and siding with partisan Democrat demonstrations and violence to have any confidence in them.
a favorite tactic of striking unions - they will take two nails and bend them together so that there is always one pointed up, and then they salt the entrances. Also when supply trucks are approaching the plant, they drive along side and throw nails in their path. They also like to use sling shots with ball bearings.

About every time there is a report of some stupid ‘racist attack’ on a black person it turns out to be something they did to themselves. I don’t know how we can tell this wasn’t some idiotic Republican Bubba (they do exist) doing something analagous.

Because in Racine they're F.O.P. union members first, and honest public servants -- oh, maybe 10th or 12th.
Same mentality of the leftists that threw concrete bricks over the overpass as republicans were arriving for a convention in the north—can’t remember which state.
Leftists and union lackey tactics.
“There have been far too many incidents of police in Wisconsin aiding and siding with partisan Democrat demonstrations and violence to have any confidence in them.”
Yup. When the Walker recall and occupation of city hall was underway, the Chief of police had the gall to say that the governor was wrong...and he’s the police chief.
Evidence of desperation?
“union lackey tactics”
Indeed, although it smacks of Chicago more than Racine.
Early vote and there’s plenty of time for mischief and then go vote again.
They don’t realize the opposite result...
Another example of corrupto-police.
Anyone who genuinely trusts their municipal cops are out of their minds. Like C. Edmund points out, they get paid from the RATs.
I keep a list of all the “if a conservative/I did that I’d be in jail things.”
This is just another that gets added. I’m sure they were laughing it up back at the station about how someone got those “kooks” good.
Ugg.
This is the type of cr@p (and worse) that we've been living with for TWO SOLID YEARS NOW!!!! There's no way in HELL with all we've endured that this would be the work of some "Republican Bubba"
Geez, do you live under a rock?
Hey, yeah! Maybe it was Romney himself! You know, trying to garner sympathy and stop Obama’s huge momentum!
