The government of Israel traded 1,700 Palestinian terrorists for Sgt. Gilad Shalit, an IDF soldier kidnapped andheld by Hamas inthe Gaza Strip. The Israelis have been known to trade live terrorists forthe bodies ofits soldiers held byits enemies. That's what itmeans tohave your soldiers' collective back. And their families' back.
Navy SEALS Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods knewthe risks they took having volunteered for service inthe American armed forces. They were ina war zone; they knew whatthe enemy could do, but it's hard toimagine they ever considered that their government didn't have their back. That the U.S. government would deny them rescue, deny them reinforcements, deny them cover. What must they have felt inthose hours, knowing itwas only amatter oftime until they died -- not because their government didn't know, not because their comrades couldn't reach them, but because their comrades weren't sent.
Riding Amtrak this Sunday, I read anarticle inthe magazine about Jill Biden's new book, When Daddy Goes to War. Dr. Biden, stepmother of an Army National Guardsman who served atour in Iraq, has -- along with Michelle Obama -- been a public face in support of our troops. Her book is about "the sacrifice ofone military family -- the endless worry, the prayers, thelove, the lonesomeness..." Mrs. Biden talks about "gestures of kindness" her family received while Beau was in Iraq. "I can't tell you how many times people would come upto me -- I mean strangers, complete strangers -- and say, 'I'm praying for your son.' As amom, you can imagine what that means."
I can. My stepdaughter served two scary tours in Iraq and her husband served there as well. My closest friend's sons are Marines withthree tours in Iraq and Afghanistan between them. I felt what Jill Biden felt; can she feel my outrage?

If there is an acceptable explanation for not answering their multiple calls for help, I can't imagine what it could be or that one could exist.
The problem with obama isn't that he always takes sides. It's that he doesn't take our side.
He told us that if things went bad, who he would side with and we ignored it. Well, he took a side in Libya, too bad it wasn't our side.
What do you call it when the CIC sides against his troops?
In the first place, the Harvard-educated elites with which Obama surrounds himself think that American military personnel are the dregs of society. They’re not college-educated, or, if they are, didn’t go to the kinds of schools that “count.”
In the second place, they think they’re Neanderthal war-mongers, interchangable parts in a violence machine that America should be ashamed of.
In the third place, members of the military tend to vote Republican, so that makes them the enemy. Obama, and his staffers, and the people behind them who are controlling them, have no interest in doing the American military any favors.
That answers your first question. The answer to your second question is a single word: Treason.
Military folks have a long, long memory...
We remember who our friends are, we remember who turned their backs on us. We remember. Our flag colors are ours—white for the pure patriotism, blue for the truth of our conviction, and red for the blood that has been shed for this country—its Constitution, its citizens, its land & interests.
Our families remember too.
The media might ignore it, but trust me, the military will not.
Now the military knows that our Government does not have their back.
They should have figured it out at Abu Gharib or when they locked up Lt. Col. Akin. Or when they arrested a soldier for a double tap.
If they hadn’t figured out before that they were on their own, they should know it now.
Especially now that Obama has removed an Admiral and a General for reasons unknown.
Former Seal Wood called for the calvery and never, ever thought they would not come. I cry.
