If we had basic classes in anti-communism, as we should have but don’t, all conservatives (graduates) would instinctively understand that when (1) Obama hires (2) Petraeus each side reveals its true understanding of the other—Comrade Obama wants an apparatchik he can count on and Comrade Petraeus is only too happy to oblige.

Think of Lenin and Trotsky, Stalin and Beria, Brezhnev and Andropov....
