Seems that Hillary claims she forwarded all the requests from Stevens for security to the administration keeping her copies as evidence for when it all blew up. She must have know the shiitte was going to hit the fan.
You are right once again I did recall in several links reading that the footprint should be negligible so they were going to use local security. But it was easily corrupted and that's what happened.

The only thing that is consistent about this story is that it remains inconsistent. What I thought I knew yesterday I don’t know today.Never saw a story with so many twists and turns! Almost near impossible to follow.
Old Engineering Rule: Keep it simple.
Simplest possible scenario (as I see it):
1) Planned or not, SHTF in Bengazi and people start dying or disappearing as POTUS and his buddies watch.
2) Somebody (most likely Ham) calls up with a Kick-Butt-and-Take-Names solution.
3) The 0 freezes up rock solid in panic (Never had a grad school seminar in this subject and it sure ain't on the teleprompter) and nobody in the place can get him to do ANYTHING but wander off to bed.
4) The As-Yet-Unindicted Co-participants in the CHARLEY FOXTROT run off to do what they do best----point fingers and Cover-My-Buttocks.
Biggest problem they've had is they plumb forgot to get everybody else involved on board (hence the firing of generals/admirals) and/or didn't get the finger-pointing coordinated in time to keep from PO'ing folks like the CIA.
I really can't think of any other explanation for the variety of ways those clowns have screwed the pooch (and themselves) over the last month. All that we're really lacking to turn it into comic opera is somebody to hold a presser tomorrow, announce his resignation and spill the whole story.
The last man off of this leaky little rowboat is really going to be SOL.
The two biggest shows were stephy on abc and DNC dave on MTP. Neither one would even mention Bengazhi.Some “coincidence”.
I don't know what you mean by "all of this." There is a large number of people involved in diplomatic security as well as physcial security for our facilities. The office of Overseas Building Operations also has involvement along with the Bureau of Diplomatic Security. So do the communications personnel who have security standards as to what kind of communication equipment is allowed in a facility. And State works with the other agencies that have personnel assigned to these facilities to coordinate requirements. There is a large paper and electronic trail that documents all of this. I estimate that there are more than a 100 people who have some knowledge of one aspect or more of the securty situation prior to the attack and hundreds in the various situation rooms of the various agencies, in the US and abroad, that were following the attack in real time.
My second question: Given my previous comment, what’s your best estimate on how long before somebody decides to go public? (Or maybe even has it gone down already but the story’s not for release until Monday.)
As Issa has said, they are getting their information from whistleblowers. Eric Nordstrom, the former supervisory RSO in Tripoli, gave some rather devastating testimony before Congress. It took a tremendous amount of courage to make such statements in public. People who don't work or have never worked in the government bureaucracy don't appreciate what it took for him to say what he said.
There are other whistleblowers who were on the ground leaking to Fox. No doubt this will become more public. I hope that someone comes forward before November 6 to nail the bastard in the WH. There have to be patriots who will make whatever personal sacrifice is necessary to get the truth out to the American people so that they don't repeat the mistake of reelecting Obama again.
If people come forward, I hope it is timed after Hurrican Sandy passes through.
We now know why Ambassador Christopher Stevens had to be in Benghazi the night of 9/11 to meet a Turkish representative, even though he feared for his safety. According to various reports, one of Stevens’ main missions in Libya was to facilitate the transfer of much of Gadhafi’s military equipment, including the deadly SA-7 – portable SAMs – to Islamists and other al Qaeda-affiliated groups fighting the Assad Regime in Syria. In an excellent article, Aaron Klein states that Stevens routinely used our Benghazi consulate (mission) to coordinate the Turkish, Saudi Arabian and Qatari governments’ support for insurgencies throughout the Middle East. Further, according to Egyptian security sources, Stevens played a “central role in recruiting Islamic jihadists to fight the Assad Regime in Syria.” In another excellent article, Clare Lopez at RadicalIslam.org noted that there were two large warehouse-type buildings associated with our Benghazi mission. During the terrorist attack, the warehouses were probably looted. We do not know what was there and if it was being administrated by our two former Navy SEALs and the CIA operatives who were in Benghazi. Wash.Times.

I think this Administration is so political, i.e., it sees everything thru the prisim of domestic politics. People like Plouffe, Jarret, and Axelrod who have no experience in foreign affairs are involved in decisionmaking. It can only lead to disaster.
It will be interesting to see how deeply Hillary was involved. Judging from the comments from Woods' father that she told him at the ceremony at Andrews AFB that she arrest and prosecute the video maker who caused it, I think Hillary has a lot to hide as well. She was a willing and enthusiastic participant in the cover-up.

This is good. Worth the five minutes it takes for Glen Beck to interview a former CIA gal who is up on what is happening.
Looks like Stevens was indeed the key player when it comes to getting jihadis and weapons into Syria and Libya. Hard to imagine but its for real.Beck and CIA gal say Jordan and Saudis are next.
Petraeus issued a statement that he forwarded every request he got for security for Stevens to the administration.He's covering his ass as well.He actually made a statement that said something to the effect that 'CIA never turned down any security request for Benghazi or Stevens.' He didn't elaborate of course. But got his ass off the hook.
Outstanding we all need to acknowledge what he did. Is there a link to him asking the question?

That is scenario 3A. Scenario 3B is that he is too stoned or drunk to know what’s going on, much less make a decision.
