“If there was an armed drone over Benghazi that night....it was being operated by the military (as a military asset) and not the CIA.”
Pentagon establishes Defense Clandestine Service, new espionage unit
EXCERPT
The official said the new service is expected to grow from several hundred to several more hundred operatives in the coming years. Despite the potentially provocative name for the new service, the official played down concerns that the Pentagon was seeking to usurp the role of the CIA or its National Clandestine Service.
Does New Defense Clandestine Service Spell Big Changes for Military Intelligence?
Noah O. Braymen - May 8, 2012
The Pentagon is pulling together hundreds of officers from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) to create an intelligence service called the Defense Clandestine Service (DCS). The DCS is tasked with gathering terrorist network information, weapons of mass destruction, and other rising threats. Michael Vickers, Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, and John D. Bennett, CIA counterpart leading the National Clandestine Service, arranged the various elements of the service. Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta approved their plan on Friday, April 20, 2012.
This service will be composed of both military and civilian officers, and it will work alongside the CIA. According to Rep. C. A. Ruppersberger, the top Democrat on the House intelligence committee, the DCS plans are still in progress, but it will emphasize and expand the Pentagons human intelligence agencies. Particularly, it will focus on gathering information through personal contact with sources, not on the interception of communications along the lines of the NSA agencies based at Fort Meade.

A plot foiled, but a US agency rift exposed
My guess is that Brennan would be whispering into zeros ear. I doubt they tried to let him make actual calls they can’t be that dumb.
Brett Baier tweeted this morning before the show:
@BretBaier: While the special airs at 3pm and 10pm 2day-we are already getting new info and tips and the story is moving- we will have much more Monday
Hmmmm......Monday...Obama is going down!
No problem. Lets hope the talk returns to Benghazi. Candy just wound up her chat with the bent axel. No mention of Benghazi at all. The coverup is 100% so far in the DBM.Lets hope Rush will take this on.
This information has to be released regardless. Not only for this election, but to curtail the activities of the community organizer in the future. He is going to be around for decades injecting himself into political issues.
Wonderful! By then we will have better tracking on Sandy.
I posted it on my FB page....don’t know if anyone will take the time to read it since it’s football season in AL. However, roll tide!
Only 28 years worth.
I don't see that happening with the groundswell of support I expect next week. And the idiocy of their policies. This ain't no Massachusetts. He won't need liberal support to breathe as was the case in BlueMass. He's got conviction and determination to fix this. I'll be one depressed, disgusted Republican if he waivers, but even in the beginning, I never thought Mitt was a liberal.
Bain was HQ'd in Mass, but I think Mitt thought that bi-partisanship (aisle reaching) was a key to winning a presidential election. So, he ran for Senate and Gov. It probably was back in '96. And, he needed a success story, resume enhancer from his days as Governor. Times, country and the world have changed.
Yes, he'll have to battle the media when he eliminates the Dept. of Education, Energy, etc. but public support will prop him up.
The RAT's...War On Babies!
By ROBERT BURNS The Associated Press Published: October 27, 2012 Related Navy commanders relieved of duty in 2012 Official Navy biography on Rear Adm. Gaouette admiral102712b Rear Admiral Charles Gaouette Defense Department WASHINGTON -- The Navy said Saturday it is replacing the admiral in command of an aircraft carrier strike group in the Middle East, pending the outcome of an internal investigation into undisclosed allegations of inappropriate judgment. Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette is being sent back to the USS John C. Stennis' home port at Bremerton, Wash., in what the Navy called a temporary reassignment. The Navy said he is not formally relieved of his command of the Stennis strike group but will be replaced by Rear Adm. Troy M. Shoemaker, who will assume command until the investigation is completed. It is highly unusual for the Navy to replace a carrier strike group commander during its deployment. The Navy did not reveal details of the allegations, citing only an accusation of "inappropriate leadership judgment" that arose during the strike group's deployment to the Middle East. Rear Adm. John Kirby, the Navy's chief spokesman, declined to discuss the investigation. The Stennis group deployed from Bremerton in late August and had entered the Navy 5th Fleet's area of operations in the Middle East on Oct. 17 after sailing across the Pacific. The Stennis made port visits in Thailand and Malaysia on its way to the Middle East. It deployed four months earlier than scheduled in response to a request by the commander of U.S. Central Command, Marine Gen. James Mattis, to maintain two aircraft carriers in the Middle East. The Stennis replaced the USS Enterprise carrier group. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta visited the Stennis and its sailors in Bremerton shortly before they departed. He thanked them for accelerating their deployment on short notice. "I understand that it is tough," Panetta said. "We are asking an awful lot of each of you, but frankly you are the best I have and when the world calls we have to respond."
Just amazing what is going on here.Top Admiral being replaced in the middle of a mission because he along with Gen. Ham wanted to save our guys.Unreal.
Now it's “Nineteen Days in September, no 31 Days in October, how about Six Days in November”?
It most certainly will be. I'll be listening to Hugh Hewitt, or following his blogs or tweets. That's what I did during the debates.
Ryan Maue, who is a conservatie weather dude( and a very good one), just tweeted:
@RyanMaue: Starting Monday afternoon, conditions will deteriorate rapidly — GFS 12z strafes Long Island then NYC with high winds http://t.co/mLJ9UVMH
I follow him on tweeter. He is awesome. So follow him if you want to know the real score on what is coming.
But will the press see the similarities??? Silly me.
Au contraire. Obama is risk avoidance. He passed several times to take OBL. He is afraid of a repeat of a Jimmy Carter's Desert One. There was the possibility of Libyan civilian casualties in the fog of war.
It is debatable that we could have inserted a SEAL team in sufficient time given the timeline and chain of events. There was a delay in between the attack on the consulate compound and the annex. Libyan government forces were assisting. A relief mission had been sent from Tripoli. The only real option was air support either thru an armed drone or a gunship. The fact that the annex people were "painting" targets with lasers is indicative that there was armed support above. The WH just never gave the order to shoot.
Obama believed the political risks of failure were too great to justify the use of force. Right from the very beginning, we started to hear from the Administration about the "fog of war" crap when they knew exactly what was happening in real time. Obama didn't see this as an opportunity but a political trap. He just didn't figure on the whistleblowers and the deaths of Woods and Doherty at the annex.
Biden has no bb’s....he has cameltoe
Bray this is the best one yet!
But the bottomline is that Obama is the one making the decision, not his underlings.
