From about an hour ago,minute by minute buoy elevation readings. Buoy off Hilo, last column is in meters.

The waves may be slow enough that Waikiki doesn’t see it, but out at sea or maybe some single mid Pacific islands need to evacuate about to 40m above sea level.

Pardon me, the above datum is from a buoy about 50km west of Kailaoa (not Hilo).

The buoys definitely indicate a difference of some 64meters in water column in that 4 minute interval
