This is a French film with subtitles. A woman who believes that she is a fairy and can grant three wishes meets a night clerk at a small hotel and grants him two of his three wishes, but he cannot decide on the third wish, so she stays with him trying to wait until he makes up his mind. It was amusing, and the cute little dog and the adorable baby that appear later made it quite pleasant. We gave it ★★★★

This wildly improbable conspiracy story has a crack special forces team trying to blow up an out-of-commission Chechen nuclear power generating plant before the rebels who have taken it over succeed in reactivating it with smuggled fuel rods. It was not great, but fairly interesting because it was also a mystery as to who was doing what and when to whom. We gave it ★★★
