The threats to Texas officials by the States AG and the State Dept in Washington beg the response “ Or you’ll do what?”

As for immunity from arrest? Nonsense, perhaps an immunity from prosecution but ANYBODY can be arrested and detained. The legalities of the arrest can be dealt with later, after the elections in this case and by then we all know nothing will ever come of it.

Here in Texas, the county sheriff has the ultimate law enforcement authority. This includes over federal agents. At least that has always been my understanding. This gives them the right to arrest DPS and local police. This may get interesting.
Another example of zero trying to destroy this country.

That's my understanding of the technicalities, too. If these observers violate Texas law, they can and should be detained until their departure flight begins boarding. I'm sure the Governor will even buy them a one-way ticket to wherever, just to avoid the "charge or release" deadline.

In fact, that would secure another term for Perry like nothing else could.
