Do you know if this is one of those propositions that require two-thirds to pass, or does it just require a simple majority? Thanks.

* As with all state ballot measures, both Prop 30 & 38 measures require a simple majority (50% + 1 vote) for
voter approval. However, under the California Constitution and language in the measures, only
the one with the greatest number of votes will take effect, even if both receive a majority.

Thanks. I thought the propositions that raised taxes required two-thirds.

Well too bad, there are probably enough brain-addled folks in California that they will likely make the 50% hurdle.
