Our total California tax load is easily double what it was when I moved here in 1973. Yet everything is much, much worse in the intervening 40 years. Clearly we need to double our taxes again to fix everything up.
Well I and my 20+ are voting NO.
Good luck MoonBeam
Bloodbath it is then.
Whatever became of all the billions of lottery dollars that were going to be spent on education???
A bloodbath?
What’s he talking about? Who’s blood is going to be spilled?
The unions poured on the hyperbole during the Wisconsin situation too.
Maybe they shouldn’t have made a school for 600 million for 2000 students a few years back?
What percent of the CA public education budget goes towards programs that primarily benefit illegals?
C’mon California. We trashed one of the top school systems in the nation. We produce more illiterate liberal zombies than the next three states combined. We have thrown so much money at education, we could fund some European Nations. Our universities produce some of the most Global Warming Friendly retards in the world. Your children’s children’s children can not hope to pay off our debt. City after city, are going into bankruptcy.
Let do it again!
As long as it is going to be a bloodbath, they might as well have some sort of teacher vs. teacher pay-per-view cage match. Its for the children, of course.
Teachers will be forced to teach, superintendents will have to superintend, and students will actually learn the three Rs instead of the fluff classes that will be cut. Oh, the Hugh Manatee!
GOOD; and I speak as a former school district employee (Maintenance Supervisor) for over 25 years. I know for a fact how much they waste and misappropriate to stupid gimmee crap.
If they spent the money on education instead of PC bulls##t they would not have any financial problems.
FEAR! FEAR! FEAR!
Welcome to the real world. The world that the rest of us have to live in. Money is tight these days.
Start with waste, redundancy, and inefficiencies. And don’t tell me there isn’t waste in government.
Kill it. Kill it with fire. If Moonbat, er, -beam wants it, kill it.
We are swimming in money.
So much so that Jerry Brown took on a new entitlement: The Dream act.
Let me channel Moonbeam and the California legislators.
For all of you on this thread saying that California wastes money, how dare you. California definitely needs a high speed rail in the middle of no where, so it was much more important to take the tax money you already paid us to use for that. Now we don’t have enough money to build all the extra admin building that the school districts so obviously need. So we must take more of your paycheck. Just suck it up and send us more money.
Do you know if this is one of those propositions that require two-thirds to pass, or does it just require a simple majority? Thanks.
Hey, Super. How’s that $$$ bullet train to nowhere going?
[”Bloodbath” Predicted?]
Less democrats... wheres the problem?
