No, it wasn’t. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but let me say that I’m wondering if the reason for the denial for additional preventative measures, the reason for denial for real-time help, and the reason for blaming the attack on the video....could it (and the arrest of the videographer) all have been done as a token of appeasement in an agreement or effort to end the craziness in numerous places being caused by the Islamists. Could the lives of 4 American patriots been sacrificed in the name of soothing Islamic terrorists? I haven’t heard anything about any further uprisings over the video since. Maybe I’m just desperate to find SOME kind of explanation for such EVIL on the part of this POTUS. Whatever the reason, I am LIVID and every American should be DEMANDING answers.
Has anyone seen any reports about this on any station other than Fox? I’ve taped and skimmed through many shows on msnbc and cnn and have found nothing.

I was NEVER the video, and Obama KNEW it from minute one. Hell, anyone with half a brain knew it when they heard the ‘protestesters’ had RPGs.

I started listening to Smerconish a few months ago, didn’t know who he was. All I knew was that he was talking some politics and sounded every now and then like he might be quasi-conservative. He keeps insisting that he is “above ideology” and is a true “independent”.
However, it only took me a couple of times listening to find out he is just another liberal. This guy covers for Obama constantly and spews out his talking points as gospel truth. The last time I listened to him was about a week ago when he was putting out Obama’s line about “not knowing what was happening at Benghazi”. I had to turn him off or I was going to have a wreck trying to rip the radio out of my dashboard wanting to punch this idiot in the nose.

He knows that materials seized by al Qaeda on location because of the incompetence and duplicity of this administration have almost certainly compromised and endangered CIA operatives and assets. The Ambassador was dead -- and was known in the Muslim world to be dead -- long before the most violent of the protests erupted. If anything, the administration's continued claims that the violence was the result of the video fanned the flames in Muslim countries. The 17 people killed in Pakistan died between 48 and 72 hours after Stevens and his security guards.
The fact that he is having to personally address it shows the seriousness of the additional details. He nevers personally addresses anything that is “not optimal”.

Yes, that's why the repeated orders to stand down. Panetta/Jarrett were still trying to get the original kidnap/trade plan to work. They had to - it was their only clean way out of the mess the two SEALs had now caused them. Panetta claims to have lacked "intelligence". What he didn't know was whether the muslim attackers could still snatch Stevens alive so that the kidnap/hostage trade plan could go forward.
