Before Robert Pattinson was a dreamy vampire, he starred in this movie about a paraplegic former airman who was injured in a bombing run during WWII. He goes to a recovery resort in Wales to regain his sanity and to pursue his lady love by writing letters to her, but he is unstable and has a long recovery ahead of him. It was actually pretty boring, for the story was extremely slow paced, but Robert and Julian Sands did great jobs, so we gave it ★★★

It's the Zombie Apocalypse, and survivors are directed by a helpful agent to an island where there were no Walkers until a foreign ship wrecked near the island and it became overrun by the Walkers who made it to the land. The agent turns out to have been not all that helpful after all. This was actually one of the better zombie apocalypse movies we've seen, other than the spoof, "Zombie Strippers." We gave it ★★★★
