They do as do most of the conservative blogs, pundits and radio hosts. It’s an obvious fallback position for the WH. It’s a lie. The bad guys would know where all the Americans and non Muslims were in that city or at least where their offices, houses and faciliities were/are. The aren’t idiots and have a lot of experience in survelence. They have the advantage of blending in with the rest of the populace as well as having lots of tipsters willing to point things out to them because of sympathy with their cause or out of fear.

I remember General Dempsey blaming not only an obscure video, but an even more obscure pastor who “liked” the video, and blaming him (Terry Jones).

Like the Rush caller described, you could have issued a C130 gunship, and then flooded a perimeter with depleted uramnm and lotsa Moooselimb unhappy campers. You could have then bought those SEALs time for friendly boots on the ground / Aviano strike / egress whatever.
It may have been a stupid order or the wrong order, but it wasn’t an illegal order. If the decision had already been made not to send help then the order for them to stand down and have a low profile might have been the right order in hopes they wouldn’t be targeted. Don’t make me defend this corrupt and cowardly administration. I can’t understand their decision not to send help but once that decision was made you have to look at the following orders in that light.
I’d hats to be a consulate or embassy in a Muslim country right now where the Brotherhood. Al Quida or otherIslamist group is strong. They probably understand they are on their own and the WH won’t be sending them aid if they are attacked.
