The Ambassador was up to his hocks in an illegal gun running program to arm the Radical Muslim Militias with weapons taken from Libya. It was virtually a warehouse of goodies they could then “distribute” under the guise of supporting (under the radar) the real idea of a Muslim Caliphate resurgence.
Since they knew that congress would never go along with funding this they needed to get rid of the leadership in Libya and free up any controls of the weapons, allowing Al Queida operatives to load up on them with the desired objective to enable the overall objective of taking down Israel and beyond.
