Remember Nicholas Berg? He was the young man who went to Iraq, walked in dangerous places, protected, he felt, by his good intentions. Nicholas Berg attempted to convey that he was on “their” side, no doubt he was.

This is what happened in Benghazi. As relates to Islamists, what we have been experiencing is the Nicholas Berg foreign policy.

Perhaps now we can learn that the Islamist sees all our actions as punitive, retaliatory, and sinister, except when we attempt to frame our actions as altruistic, and then they see us as weak. Weakness is always seen as an invitation to kill us.

Arab Moslems are the ultimate fatalists. "If God wills it" is the comment about any suggestion of doing or being anything. Another is "God will provide." All our aid is accepted and the givers are not credited with anything at all because "God will provide." God provides material goods to the Moslems through he agency of the despicable infidels. It is only fitting. If the aid is cut off, well, "God wills it." There is nothing the infidel can do or say that would gain the respect of the Moslem, nothing that would put the Molsem in the debt of the infidel. That is inherent in Islam and is the most extreme among Arab and Arabized Moslems.That kind of fatalism is why a total military trouncing and a cutoff of resources from the West results in a subsidence of militant Islam. The Moslem world sinks into lethargy, God wills that Islam will not yet triumph.

All wealth beyond bare subsistence in the Arab Moslem world and to a lesser extent in the non Arab portion comes from the spoils of conquest or from tribute paid to Moslems by infidels. When the West no longer needs Moslem oil and quits sending treasure to the Saracen hordes the Umma will become again a poor backwater of the world, unless, of course, Islam conquers the West and the rest of Asia before that time- then the whole world will be a depopulating backwater with no mainstream.
