Morning! Where has the week gone!
Reportedly Crazy Joe did it again! Asked the father of the fallen soldier from Bengahzi if his son always had balls the size of cue balls!
WTH!!!!!?????
Joe needs to be mentally evaluated!
That's over a two mile drive on secondary suburban roads.
Overall I think there are more RR signs though.
Morning! Yep, Biden is a ditz! Can you imagine him being the VP to Romney? I doubt it will come down to that though.
I see a lot more Romney signs, though the Obama signs are popping up more. One large (home made) Obama sign on the main street. Somebody downstreet posted a very large Romney/Ryan sign! It’s the battle of the signs! I can’t get another Romney sign to replace my stolen one. They are all out! I have one on the road below my house. They are too cowardly to steal that one - it’s under a streetlight!
Why isn’t my WPGB stream working?
Just got home, had to stop at Shop n Save. I’ll chck my streaming as soon as mrs p6 is up.
Spotted another 2 RR signs on the way home so my count is tied.
Good morning n’@!
FRANKENSTORM on the way!!! No seriously...this is looking not so good for the Ohio Valley/Aappalachians. The east coast is going to get absolutely pounded (I 95 corridor). We are located at the vortex of Sandy (that will do the coastal damage) but he second system—coming from Canada (across the very warm Great Lakes) “met” at ton of moisture and cold air. Heavy wet snow. Power outages will be our worry (but hopefully we all are a little prepped—me waaaay behind the rest of Yinz—but still think we can weather (pun!) a week w/o power). Going buy extra PB, crackers, non perishables that don’t require any heating.
The caller Jim had going back to Robespierre was good—wish he had more time to let him talk longer.
Wow! Quinn and Rose are gone from my tune in android app! The podcasts are there but real time is gone. In fact none of the local FM stations are available.
We’re ready. Got extra propane tanks (gas grill sized) for our propane heater. Got oil lamps and lamp oil. Got canned food and a gas stove so we can still cook. We got water. And the most important thing; We got COFFEE - and a way to make it sans electric coffee maker! We’re good to go!
Yup we’re stovking up too although I’m still not completely sold it will be as bad as some wx reports claim. Accuweather has no prediction of snow although a couple of days ago they did.
Last I checked we had at least two weeks of normal food supplies and a month of emergency stuff. Not bad for an apartment! Still want more though and some bug out gear to load thee supplies into the truck.
(Sobbing) we cannot make coffee here. Electric range. No generator. If I ever move, I want a gas stove (and double wall ovens:) I dream big! Told DH we need 2nd propane tank for grill. He rolled his eyes. I’ll pick one up tomorrow. The other stuff will “get us by.” Sigh.
Longest we ever went w/o power was five days (Mothers Day micro burst). No coffee, no hair dryer, computer or TV. It was warm. Everything spoiled. But because it was warm we could sleep, shower—make do. This time, I’m “using” up refrigerator things as best as possible...just incase.
Atta girl! You're my kind of prepper! LOL!
Oh man... Get a cheap stove-top coffee pot, a cheap little grill, charcoal and fluid. And you’re good to go.
Can’t EVEN imagine going without my coffee. First thing I stocked up on. HA!
One of the reasons I miss our kero heaters and fireplace! I’ve cooked many good meals on the heaters or in the fireplace. There would always be a pot of campfire coffee going. Just dump coarse grounds in boiling water, put back on th hest and let it steep until the grounds sink. If they don’t put some cold water in. We used to do that at scout camp all the time.
What a cool sign you posted on FB! “Fool me once” with all the o’s the Obama logo!
Yeah, pretty cool, eh?! I think that’s from Texas. God bless Texas!!
Get a Coleman stove with propane, a teapot for heating water and a French Press Coffee pot (COARSE GROUND COFFEE ONLY) or get a coleman coffeepot to go with that Coleman propane stove. Our bases are covered. We’ve got the Coleman coffeepot, french press, Bunn, Mr Coffee and a Cuisinart. Large and small, 12 cup and four cup, propane and electric.
Are we addicted to coffee or what!
