NW Montana here. Have yet to see a single Obama yard sign. Lots of signs for the local people who are running for various offices from Governor on down to County Commissioner. Montana went for McCain, but there was a lot of enthusiasm for Obama. Obama car and yard signs were very visible. Most people are trying to avoid talking about this election at all. In 08 I had Obama people in my face about it constantly.
I've noticed the same thing. In 2008, you had to be careful when talking about Obama so you didn't set off one of their zombies. I had one sweet, but misguided woman tell me I was a "lost sheep". This year, you can say just about anything you want, and they leave you alone.
This is a refrain in this thread. Why do you think this is?
I personally avoid talking about it with possible opponents because I don't want to damage relationships or my standing in an organization, or I just don't feel like working to be a salesman or a fighter.
