Pakistanis prefer Romney over Obama: Analysis of BBC Poll
Rupee News ^

Posted on 10/24/2012 9:50:44 PM PDT by TigerClaws

In a  survey carried out by GlobeScan/PIPA between July 3 and September 3, most Pakistanis favor Mitt Romney over Barack Obama. The survey was conducted before the three TV debates between the candidates. There was euphoria for Barack Obama in Pakistan. He was considered a son of Africans and had achieved Rock Star status like Mohammad Ali and Malik Shabaz (Malcom X). People really thought that he would bring about and change the world. Most Pakistanis think that Republicans favor Pakistan while Democrats do not. Only 9 drones flew over Pakistan during the Bush Administration while Obama has flown several hundred. 7000 soldiers of the Pakistani Army have been killed in GWOT. Pakistanis are furious over the loss of innocent lives and Pakistanis have faced the blow-back with the loss of 40,000 lives. For ingrate Obama not to mention or appreciate that is reprehensible.

Personally, I couldn’t care less what ANY non-Americans think about our election. None of their or the U.N.s business.

Not all Pakis are rabid jihadists. Some are downright moderate and really wish that the mullahs would leave them alone. They could well see how the Arab “Spring” done sprung and might not want that kind of touch on their territory.

Doubt that most Pakistani’s are rabid Islamists....I had a lab doctor from Pak who basically seemed to say they just tried to stay out of everything, and live their lives....course he is living HERE now.

Foreign contributions have been pouring into the Obama campaign. Maybe they’ll start coming in for Romney too.

Maybe they're mad about the trick 0bama and Hillbilly pulled on them.

Pakistanis didn't know about any "video" or any "insults" until 0blablah and Hillbilly broadcast this...

Obama and Hillary Apologize for Free Speech on Pakistani TV (taxpayer-funded ads) Sept. 20, 2012

Which immediately resulted in this...

After spending much time living in central Europe, you will realize how little people around the world know about US politics and news (one could say the same about people back home). They are fed mostly a left/socialist media line and even those who can read English language news sources mostly read the lamestream media from the UK. If only they follow Free Republic......

They might just hate Obama for killing the heroic Sheik Osama, and have no idea who Romney is or what he stands for.

Is this a good thing???? I think not.

What's not a good thing? That the Paks prefer Romney?

I think it can be classified as progress.

Taliban shoot 14-year-old Pakistani girl who advocated for schooling

It's a good sign that Pakistani public opinion is on the side of the 14-year-old.

Remember, Pakistan is a nuclear power. If they, or other potential nuclear poweers, attack, the counter-attack must obliterate them, collateral be damned. Call it nuclear genocide or whatever. The point is we must win.

Of course, once President Romney stops the drone attacks on Pakistan, both the Pakistanis and the FINOs around here who oppose US drone attacks anywhere will find some other phony reason to bash Romney. Thanks TigerClaws.
