Yes, I know the reason (it's impossible to remove the reactor vessels without slicing the hull up) and the logic is sound. I don't care. The ship should be saved, if for no other reason than to atone for the national sin of scrapping her namesake USS Enterprise CV-6.
I agree completely. The USN has two old decommissioned SSBNs (Lafayette class boats iirc) in Charleston SC as reactor trainers. I dontvsee why the USN couldn’t just keep Enterprise and use her in that role. She’d be able to provide 4x the reactors for classes, plus have all sorts of additional space for classrooms.
