For those angry about Mitt's performance (and for those who understood it) - this confirms the strategy, and the Romney campaign outlook on Benghazi.

"That's a big fundamental problem that the administration has to deal with, that they did mislead people for a period of time, and what's even scarier, they misled themselves."

Agree Mitt didn’t need to get bogged down in a detailed debate or brawl. Women hated it. Instead he went after undecideds.
Disagree Obama misled himself. He knew the truth and for political reasons misled the American public.
I do see how they could have misled themselves - Obama believes his own BS and apparently no one wants to tell him the truth - i.e. Al Queda is on the rise despite the wonderfulness of Obama, the oceans and the planet haven’t changed because Obama is in the White House. If you look at it this way we’ve got a delusional POTUS who is having to face reality and isn’t liking it. Dangerous situation I think.
Maybe this is better as it concerns the debate: "Romney will likely refer to the administration's reaction to the Benghazi attack to counter the administration's claim that it has dealt a devastating blow to al Qaeda and that al Qaeda is "on its heels," as Obama has said many times in the past."
... focusing on the incompetence, ineffectiveness and illusory nature of the Obama administration's handling of terror, allowing the cover-up to speak for itself.
... touches on a couple other issues regarding FP debate message.
(Our commander-in-chief and his national-security team in Washington are listening to the phone calls from the Americans under attack and watching real-time video from a drone circling overhead.) Read it and read it again and again....Obama deliberately lied while Americans died...was Obama part of the plot? He lied...Why?
Post # 5....sorry....further from the truth.....you couldn’t be more wrong....
I didn’t know this when I wrote my comment. So yes, I’m wrong...it’s just a flat out lie to continue the myth of zero.
As #5 pointed out to me the latest revelation is that the WH knew within 2 hrs that it was terror - so Obama wanted the coverup - obviously. He sure likes to pretend to take authority - “I” directed “MY” staff....etc. so it must be that “I , ME, MYSELF directed the coverup to fool all you fools” . The enemy is in the White House and almost half of Americans haven’t figured this out.
Since the debate (#2) last week, there was more info on Libya coming out, conflicting info. I didn’t know how Romney was going to deal with it - worried me a lot because I knew Obama was not going to answer questions or tell any truths. I finally had to just relax and have faith that he and his advisors knew what they were doing as they prepared. Monday, it took me about 20 minutes to figure out Romney’s strategy .... just masterful. I think Obama’s stares and a lot of his surliness got worse as he finally realized what was going on as well - he tried to pick fights and couldn’t get a rise out of Romney. All those days of prep at Camp David wasted .... you just know most of the time was spent calculating moves/counter moves on Benghazi ... heh, heh.
In retrospect, if Romney had entered the fray on Benghazi and the other issues that Obama tried to raise, the debate would have focused on a lot fewer issues than it did due to overall time limitation. By not being drawn into skirmishes, Romney ably managed the overall battle quite well, not losing focus on the big prize.
Exactly.
More RINO mush. (From a RINO neocon in this case.)

Obama Now with respect to Libya, as I indicated in the last debate, when we received that phone call, I immediately made sure that, number one, that we did everything we could to secure those Americans who were still in harms way;

OBAMA: So as soon as we found out that the Benghazi consulate was being overrun, I was on the phone with my national security team and I gave them three instructions.
Number one, beef up our security and procedures, not just in Libya, but at every embassy and consulate in the region.
Number two, investigate exactly what happened, regardless of where the facts lead us, to make sure folks are held accountable and it doesnt happen again.
And number three, we are going to find out who did this and were going to hunt them down, because one of the things that Ive said throughout my presidency is when folks mess with Americans, we go after them.
Given the news of the past day - about the emails and notifications received w/in 2 hours ...
... makes you wonder if RR was already aware of this as of debate night, and decided to let Obama fry while keeping clear of the mess.
Certainly there are enough pissed off people in the know who would have been happy to give this to the RR campaign.
Actually I’m betting someone suggested this here already.
Mitt needed to act Presidential. Anyone who was ever going to figure it out knew the score on Libya.
Yes ..... and one thing I think he did VERY well with this strategy ... he made the point more than once that the strength of the country militarily and regarding foreign policy depends on a strong economy at home. The Luntz focus group .... several people were bringing up this point so it resonated with them.
BTW, prayers up for around 100 Tea Party Patriots who are leaving Huntsville today in route to Dayton to knock on doors for Governor Romney.
Tea Party? They’re still around? Rumor has it the Tea Party movement died years ago! </sarcasm!!>
Prayers up for the Tea Party PATRIOTS - may God bless their efforts to save our country.
