The flood is already well under way. Try to be a poultry house owner and producer. These houses are usually owned by individuals who have bought a job and are under contract to a large producer. They feed, medicate, clean, pull dead birds daily and all that. It is almost like owning a dairy. You never get away from it. Huge capital investment and only reasonable pay for a two to four house operation. Better pay than most jobs in the areas where the houses are located though.

The latest from the EPA shop of horrors? LED lights mandated at a cost of about $15,000 per two houses. $65 a bulb for three watt bulbs to save another 10 watts over the already mandated CFL. 10 watts at $0.10 / KWH works out to a payback period of $65 / 0.10 kwh / 10 watts per hour savings / 365 days per year / 24 hours per day = 7.42 years to payout. As an investment that stinks.
