If I may revise this a bit: “I wonder just how many Americans have to be assassinated as a result of blatant disregard for their security for this White House to consider it a failure?”

That only makes it worse. But even if he had done everything possible to protect those four people, failing to protect them is still a failure. Manning up to such a failure is not Obama’s style.
