Late night news from Austin showed the Congregation of the Clueless gathering for early voting, which begins this morning. Wonder how much the Democrat Party paid that scruffy-looking bunch to show up for TV?

And speaking of clueless, the Dallas Morning News endorsed totally-bland Democrat Paul Sadler for the Senate race, instead of the awesome Republican Ted Cruz, proving once again that the Dallas and Houston newspapers aren’t fit to house-train your dog on.

Dallas is a bastion for Democrats. Nobody pays attention to the Morning News any more. I haven’t set foot in Dallas proper for years. The surrounding suburbs are solid red though. Except maybe for Irving which is a sanctuary city. Sad. Irving used to be a nice place. Lived there for years back in the 70’s.

I truly wonder in today’s world if a newspaper endorsement means anything to the voters.

Houston elected a lesbian mayor, Dallas a lesbian Sheriff. Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin went for Obama in 2008. More people in Texas either voted for Obama or didn't care enough to vote than supported McCain in 2008. Sometime in the past 5 years, Texas became a minority-majority state.

Not much else needs to be said. Texas is headed towards some interesting times.
