I've already voted no on this issue. If all genetically modified foods are to be labeled, then *all* food must be labeled, because there are no unmodified foods produced by agriculture.
I see no real difference between foods that are genetically modified through molecular biology methods, or through cross-breeding. Either method can produce toxic "food"; either method can produce improved food. Many people are Luddites who automatically reject any new technology, which is why there is a controversy. Foods modified by molecular biology methods, at least, are tested before they're allowed to be sold... I don't think many cross-bred foods are tested.
Can you give me more examples? What cross-bred foods are toxic?
