No, to sum it up, freerepublic conservatives do not have to pretend that they don’t know the politicians and rinos, we all know that Romney became a totally different person in 2005 and 2006, reversing himself on almost all of his lifelong political positions, because he was running for president.

Abortion was one of those.

Romney tells us that he was pro-abortion from 1963 until he suddenly changed in late 2004 while talking to a scientist about stem cells, something that Mitt didn’t tell us until 2005, and that the scientist says didn’t happen, and which is the lamest abortion conversion story we have ever heard.

Not only did Mitt have this big epiphany at almost age 58, just in time for his presidential campaign, but somewhere during the campaign, Ann also became suddenly pro-life.

Once the nomination was won, Mitt has now rejected the party’s pro-life platform, and reverted back to his old view.

CBS interview, August 27, 2012.
PELLEY: Well, the platform as written at this convention for the Republicans does not allow for exceptions on abortion with regard to the health of the mother or rape or incest. Is that where you are?

ROMNEY: No. My position has been clear throughout this campaign. I’m in favor of abortion being legal in the case of rape and incest, and the health and life of the mother.
