I think this will, even more so than today, make this a black sport altogether. White suburban moms will steer their boys to soccer.
There are probably more injuries in soccer than in football. The knees and ankles are by far the more sensitive of joints in the body and repeatedly being tackled coupled with the lengthy games with little pauses leads to alot of exhaustion (to the extent that some players have had heart attacks on the field) and leg breaking, or more frequently torn muscles/tendons.
People like to joke that its a prissy sport but it does have alot of contact and injuries.

To play with their sisters?
My daughter tried that. Both of my grandsons played on elite kids soccer teams but I could see that the older one didn’t have his heart in the game. He decided ,this summer, that he would try football and loves every minute of it. He can’t wait to go to practice and talks about the plays incessantly. His brother also decided to try it and was not as enthusiastic but has also come to love the game. You would be amazed at the number of kids on their teams and how much support there is from the parents(grandparents as well).
No, there is a reason Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the country. It’s physical and competitive, moves along nicely, and has set plays like football.
many studies have show that Soccer players(no protection) have more head injuries than football players(helmets) or boxers(padded gloves). “Headers”,banging heads together, kicks to head, etc.
