The old “October Surprise” a few day’s before the election isn’t as effective as it use to be because of early voting. With 40% of the votes have already been cast before the “surprise” drops, even if you manage to swing the vote 5% in your favor you may very well still end up losing come election day.

I'm slightly amused by all the conservatives that seem ready to jump off of building just on the mention that Gloria Allred might try to drop some dirt on Romney. Like she is an omnipotent demi-god that we must tremble at her very mention. If she does try something, she does and we'll deal with it then, but I'm certainly not going to waste my time worrying about it. My view is that if Axelrod and Obama had anything, they would have dropped it way before now. And even if she drops some story about Romney hiring an illegal alien or counseling some women not to have an abortion (which seem to be the two big theories) So What? Do you really think the voter in Ohio who is working two jobs to make ends meet in the Obama economy is going to switch their vote because of that?
