They were never the lock like the Dems have on blacks; their work ethic makes it difficult for Dems to attract some. Of course, the multi-generational welfare types, as well as the outright illegal aliens, will support the Dems because they transfer white taxpayer wealth to them, but the Hispanic middle class probably votes in a similar manner to the larger white population.
I live and work in the Barrio. I converse, in my poor Spanish, with locals in the grocery line, the gas station, etc.
Most of the illegals are anti-Obama! The lousy economy has hurt them more than most because they are the first to lose work when the employers cut back.
With some exceptions, they have not benefited from Obama phones and other handouts.
