Bob Schieffer’s sole job Monday night will be to run interference and ultimately run out the 90-minute clock. Each time Romney brings up Benghazi, Schieffer will quickly jump in and assure the Republican challenger that we’ll get to Benghazi later, but right now I want to concentrate on China, Iran, Israel, the Middle East, etc. (any country except Libya).
Finally, at the tail end of the debate, with only a few minutes left, Schieffer will bring up Benghazi; he’ll do it by serving up a softball to Obama, which will allow Obama to knock it out of the park. Then, Schieffer will turn to Romney and say make it quick, we only have a few seconds left. Romney won’t complete a single sentence before Schieffer interrupts and informs him that the debate is officially over.
Schieffer has nothing to lose by colluding with Obama; he’s 75 years old, and this will be his last hooray. Schieffer can happily and proudly retire from the news business, and spend his golden years living in a communist utopia that he helped bring about.
That’s what you get with the Polite Party a.k.a. the GOP.
There were 4 political debates in all. Why is it that all moderators were selected by the liberals? Are we playing McCain games again where we are afraid to offend the RATs?
It is often very difficult and frustrating to vote for the GOP when one gets the impression that they are not even trying hard to win when the playing field already favors the opposition.
No one is energized to vote for a party that does not show total commitment to its convictions.
