I agree with you on citizenship and being “alive” and paying income tax, but I currently live in an apartment and I pay rent and I pay property taxes, it’s factored into my rent. A lot of people rent and not all of us do so because we are slackers or on the dole. I pay a good amount in taxes as I don’t get the mortgage tax deduction as I did when I owned a home. Just saying.
