EXETER — Some came for the politics, some came for the skating and others came just to see what the commotion was about.
Olympic gold medalist figure skater Scott Hamilton spoke at the Rinks at Exeter on Wednesday afternoon as his last stop on a New Hampshire tour endorsing Mitt Romney for president.
"It's difficult because as a figure skater you want everybody to like you, and when you stand up here only half of (the) people like you," said Hamilton, "but I feel very strongly about this."

Wow. The election is obviously over. Scott Hamilton has swayed my vote, along everyone else’s, to give in to marxism and re-elect Obama with this endorsement. Romney doesn’t stand a chance.

Scott Hamilton is a class act! I remember seeing him skate years ago at Bowling Green State University, just after he had won a national championship. It wasn’t a fancy show or anything—just a demonstration. I was standing right next to the rink, which wasn’t an ideal location, but I could see really well when he skated near. He was truly like Fred Astaire on the ice. Aside from being the best skater ever, he is a man of character, generosity, and grace. I’m absolutely delighted to hear he’s on board.

Scott Hamilton is the best male figure skater ever. His performances, even on the “legends” tours, are must see. Add to that he is a brilliant professional commentator on the sport during Olympic coverage and elsewhere.
Nobody has a bad word to say about this guy. For him to throw his hat in the election shows how much this good and decent man cares about this country.
Good on him. I’ve always liked Scottie.
As much as I like Scottie, my vote goes to Robin Cousins as the best ever.
