As Chicago struggles to quell gang violence that has contributed to a jump in homicides, a top elected official wants to tax the sale of every bullet and firearm — an effort even she acknowledges could spark a legal challenge.
Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle will submit a budget proposal Thursday that calls for a tax of a nickel for each bullet and $25 for each firearm sold in the nation's second-largest county, which encompasses Chicago.

Income for a street level crack dealer: upwards of $1000 a day, if not more.

Just ONCE I’d like for these liberals with these brain-dead ideas to explain HOW their tax, on bullets and firearms here, would solve their social problem.
This is nothing more or less than an attack on those businesses that sell firearms and ammo in Shitcago. People will simply go elsewhere to buy, and if I were in the area and in that business I’d set up shop right over the line from Shitcago and advertise like crazy that my shop was in Free Illinois.
Gangbangers will, of course, not pay any tax and not give a damn about shooting/killing people any more than at present. Typical assinine liberal policy - tax an inanimate object for the bad behavior of certain individuals, expecting that it will change things. Morons!
They will have to make everyone promise to buy their stuff in Cook County. :)

I actually had a conversation with a liberal when I was in college, who proposed that cops should not be allowed to shoot to kill, under any circumstances, even if the criminal is armed, the cops should just shoot the weapon out of his hand. The guy was completely serious.
I didn’t even bother to answer him, figuring that anybody that damn’d liberal stupid was far beyond any help I might be able to give.
