The economy, abortion, and national security took center stage, but the moderator stole the show at Tuesday night’s presidential debate at Hofstra University. While liberals were racing to announce, “Obama is back,” the debate resulted in a firefight that clearly highlighted the contrasts between former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and President Obama. From their leadership styles, approach to governing, and national security strategies, to their domestic, foreign, and economic policies, the contrast could not be clearer.
Regardless of the questions, President Obama found a way to steer them to the issues he wanted to discuss even if the answer was blatantly off topic. He turned a question about equal pay for women into an opportunity to promote more government funding for the abortion industry.
Five times he touted Planned Parenthood. He equated more taxpayer funding for the abortion industry as “a pocketbook issue for women.” In addition to defending Planned Parenthood funding in his response to a question about pay equity, President Obama promoted more taxpayer funding for the abortion industry in response to questions about what he had done to earn someone’s vote and how Romney was different than George W. Bush.

Candy Crowley, CNN’s chief political correspondent and the first woman chosen to host a presidential debate in two decades, was given the unique opportunity to set the bar for aspiring female journalists. Instead, Crowley awkwardly went outside the boundaries, rudely interrupting the candidates when she saw fit, and conveniently making up the rules as she went along. In fact, it is estimated that she interrupted Romney 28 times while only interrupting Obama nine times.

Funny thing is, President Romney STILL won the debate. He faced what he’s gonna face in the next four years as President- a hostile media in collusion with a corrupt opposing party, and he came through with flying colors. As for his “not saying this” or “not saying that”- Bathhouse Barry and his Beard Crowley just served up the Libya scandal on a silver platter for the debate next Monday night. You can be sure that President Romney will stick a knife in the throat of Barry the Fairy.

Absolutely! What Crowley did should get her flamed by EVERYONE, not just the political right and a few liberals who understand the danger of what she did. Yet the same old "end justifies the means" crowd of fellow travelers praise her. Crowley was part of a crooked game... and for a guy who is continually hectoring others about "levelling the playing field" or whining about how "everyone needs to play by the rules," Barack Obama has no scruples about taking advantage of the marked cards that people like Crowley deal to him.

I’m angry at Obama for saying that he called the attack terrorism the day after it happened. It’s such a provable lie. Did he think he’d get away with it?
Crawley needs to explain how she was able to yank that transcript off her desk within seconds of Obama’s assertion. She did, though, say that Romney was basically correct.
And 0bama just happened to somehow know she had brought it.
And every time Obama said “CANDY” she interrupted Romney on cue. The Benghazi gotcha, the staged theatrics, the selected questions all point to collusion, What we witnessed was possibly criminal. It was Chicago politics center stage and the corruption of the political process.
EVEN IF THE GOP CHOOSES TO NOT CALL IT OUT, THEY HAD BETTER BE AWARE OF IT AND ADJUST THEIR STRATEGY ACCORDINGLY.

Absolutely. You don’t just order someone to “get the transcript” without knowing that someone has the transcript.
There has to be some recourse, perhaps legally, to make Crowley answer for this. As Tucker Carlson said this a.m. on Fox, her stunt has the ability to ruin someone’s life/career. We need to browbeat the MSM until something is done about this.
This is why she was given the power to pick the individuals as well as the questions.
Would it surprise anyone if we found out that Obama’s debate prep included the actual questions? Rehearsed right down to the part where FLOTUS breaks out into applause?
The Machine had to find a way to put the cocoon back around the Incompetent One.
Looks like they pulled it off.....for now.

I’ve asked the same question 100 times - why to Republican leaders continue to play this game? Why not hold a debate at Ave Maria University or Brigham Young? Why do they allow the likes of CNN and NPR to moderate? Why not insist that National Review organize at least one debate? Why hold debates in places like NY or Miami? Why not hold one in Topeka, KS?

When the inevitable Libya question was asked, Obama baits Mitt by saying, “I said on day one that it was an act of terror.”
Mitt, knowing the administration sold the youtube theory around the world for nearly two weeks after the attack, moves in for the boom.
Obama says “check the transcript.”
Moderator picks up a piece of paper and says “he’s right.”
Why did Obama say “check the transcript” and Crowley just happened to have one sitting right in front of her? What are the odds?
Then what else is left for her to do, but incorrectly back up the president in front of millions of people. The most puzzling thing during this orchestrated insanity is the crowds applause as if the president has just been exonerated. They were in effect applauding the idea that the president knew it was a pre-planned terror attack on day one and had been lying to the world the whole time.
Did the president and Crowley orchestrate this exchange and bait Mitt into it?
On the AK47 question Mitt brought up fast and furious. Obama simply said, “Candy...”
On cue Candy interrupts Mitt and told him to stay on topic.
The key moment was when Obama appealed to the “moderator” with “Check the transcript”
How was Obama aware that transcript was on that stage?
He also appealed for her relief on Fast and Furious by pleading “Candy?” and got it.
I also noted some creative switching of the Obama/Romney getting asked the question in the latter 1/3 which resulted in Obama getting the final word with out rebuttal.
If you and i can figure this out, why the hell can’t the STOOPID PARTY figure it out? This crap happens every single time. The commies infuriate me, but the incompetence of the GOP leadership in managing the debates disgusts me.
Many people are getting mighty tired of the State Run Media. Yes, indeed.
