Is RedState going soft on Discussions about this election?
Check out this thread and see what you think. They seem to be banning all that disagree with the site originators rather than agreeing or disagreeing with policy to the point of banning dissent.
I posted politely within the guild lines, and I was banned about six mounts ago. Someone didn’t agree with what I said. I haven’t gone back and could care less.
do you have an ax to grind?
Erickson’s ego is a big turnoff.
Why does posting a link to a discussion on Redstate require a non comment from you? Would like to know?
Eschew same.
Sounds like Free Republic.
Well, yes I do.. If you read the comments, I am dbecraft and I said nothing that I thought was breaking their rules but they deemed to ban be for a week. Now I know that it may be arguable but that is why I am asking for you to decide.
No, not hardly, they actually abide by their rules.
They only have one rule. It's called JimRob and if he doesn't like your opinion, you are outta here. I know many people who have had accounts banned her for calling Sarah Palin out for the charlatan she is or for defending Mitt Romney as the most conservative candidate in the primary.
Anyway, RedState is a similar fifedom that would rather ban people than debate.
Okay, I guess that you want to say that those controlling the site have the authority to ban whoever they wish - actually I agree with that.
The problem I am describing is that if you follow their rules you should not be banned.
Please check the link before deciding...
Erickson is a commentator on CNN and said in an article yesterday that he “thinks highly” of Candy Crowley.
Don’t know, I’ve never bothered with Redstate whatsoever. They’re maybe the only blog to make the girly boys of NR seem stoic and brave, with possible exception of Townhall.com
He’s going to have a hard time keeping any conservative cred and holding onto that high regard for Candy at the same time.
Actually, maybe you are right! I used to think that Redstate was the Conservative site to go to...my mistake.
Actually, the did use to be very Conservative but have since become the apologists for the Republicans when the MSM counters them (ie. Beltway Republicans). Not exactly a good group to get enthusiastic about.
I’d suspect that they have become part of the MSM, after all money seems to buy anybody...
Jim’s site, Jim’s rules.
I just looked at the site again. Pure squish. Rush, Levin, etc, would vomit that pablum out. It’s Morning Joe State.
Heh, must be talking about Erik Erickson (who I used to love) but now taking the route of another MSM faithful.
Yes, but I used to think that this was a Conservative site for us but have they have changed! Really, they used to be a Conservative site but now they not only discourage Conservative comments but ban them if they get too obvious.
That’s a shame though - they used to be really good.
You bet - and I actually agree with that! Good for him!
