"First, they said it was not planned, it was part of this tape," Crowley said when Axelrod tried to spin her.
This was Crowley the journalist, unlike the pro-Obama advocate who moderated Tuesday's debate between Obama and Mitt Romney and interjected herself into an argument between Obama and Romney on the exact same issue -- and took Obama's side.
During the debate, Crowley affirmed Obama's assertion that he referred to the Benghazi attacks as acts of terror on the day after.
After Romney correctly said it took Obama 14 days before Obama said the the Benghazi attacks were acts of terror, Crowley took Obama's side -- to an ovation from the town hall audience -- and she proclaimed Obama had indeed claimed the Benghazi attacks were acts of terror the day after the attacks in the White House Rose Garden.
On September 12, the day after the attacks, Obama did say the words "acts of terror" but he was not referring to the attacks that killed U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens.
Crowley knew that on September 30 and she conceded it again hours after the debate when she went on CNN and said while Romney "was right in the main, but he just chose the wrong word." But the damage had already been done.
With Obama's reelection on the line, Crowley seemed to have conveniently forgotten the facts she knew two weeks before when she grilled Axelrod in a way she should have Obama.

Now Kudlow is into all of this.
I’ll at least give Mitt his due for telling Letterman and the View hags to go scratch their collective azzes.
OOOH! The words I want to type about Cotton Candy Brain!
I don’t want to get banned, though.
This has me steaming mad, but I'm not sure who I'm more angry with, Crowley the Liar or the Forever Stupid Party, the officials of which, year after year, keep agreeing to debates "moderated" by leftist liars with a clear agenda. Who, exactly, in the GOP was responsible for agreeing to these moderators? Anyone have a name or names?
I was referring to Susan Rice and Hillary Clinton. :)
I guess Candy Bar had a little memory loss?
My heart is troubled that Romney reportedly never brought the argument up today. I can only presume that he has hopes that the media, our media, keeps this issue alive, because taking his lead today appears he not only cedes the point to buhrock obama, but has dropped the subject. This helps buhrock shelve his lie.
State intel certainly never classified this tragic event as a protest, or connected to a video. The NSA must be a box of rocks to not inform Obama of the same intel take as State.
This won’t go away, but hope you’re right that Romney gets his attack in place in time for the debate.
You would think the MSM would have some kind of a standard and be upset about being fed Fabricated stories.
They probably would if they didn’t fabricate so many stories themselves.
I heard a story yesterday while in Washington, DC. The the guards hired by the British firm were known Jihadist’s. It true this would be the nail in Obama’s reelection chances. If the story is tru then it makes sense for Romney to wait until Monday’s debate. Allowing obummer to really keep his lies going until the can bring his regime down.
Has anybody else heard this about the guards being Jihadists?
Send it to Hannity... it’s that good. Maybe Fox News can do something with it. Thanks for sharing.
I certainly hope you are right. Obama wants the Benghazi security issue and the days and days of “video protest” issue to go away. Romney was mum post debate. That helps buhrock.
The media will cool on this story, willingly, if it is not persued by the people and the Romney campaign itself. We need Jeff Chavitz to keep the heat on this rhetorically, from Congress, to hope for coverage.
