Washington, D.C., October 17, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) Planned Parenthoods political division announced yesterday their plans for an additional $828,000 in anti-Romney radio advertising in the swing states of Virginia and Colorado in the critical final days before the election. This brings their total investment in the U.S. election to $5.7 million, with much of that money being spent in those two states.
The new ad blitz was announced after a new USA Today/Gallup poll showed women in swing states moving toward Mitt Romney, with the two candidates now in a statistical dead heat among women in the states that could well decide the election.
The Planned Parenthood ad slams Romney for supporting a reversal of Roe v. Wade, and for his plan to block federal funding of Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood hopes the ad blitz will convince women voters to turn out and support President Obama. Obama has been a stalwart apologist for the group, mentioning them favorably multiple times during last nights presidential debate and perpetuating false claims that the group provides mammograms and other vital health services unrelated to abortion and contraception. Obama has also been a staunch supporter of Planned Parenthoods nearly half billion dollars in annual taxpayer funding, while Romney has promised to work to defund the abortion giant at home and abroad.
However, in light of another Gallup poll showing higher commitment to single-issue voting among pro-lifers, its possible the ad blitz will have the opposite effect, motivating opponents of abortion to turn out to vote for Mitt Romney.
PP IS JUST DIGGING THEIR OWN GRAVE.
So they are spending taxpayers dollars on this?
Gee, that spending sure is gonna cut into all those breast cancer screenings I was told PP does. Weren’t we all assured, back during the Komen brouhaha, that PP is often the only way poor women can get a breast cancer screening? Tsk, to think of all the screenings that could have been done with that ad money!
How is it legal for Planned Parenthood, AARP, and others to make political contributions when they receive taxpayer money?
Congress is spineless for not putting a stop to this.
1. Chump change
2. Let them waste their money on this, that much less to pay for evil with
3. Is it likely that anyone who is truly undecided will be swayed by a Planned Parenthood ad between now and election day?
[Psst...thats YOUR money. Those cute little pink ribbons you buy from Susan Korman? Goes to PP[partly]. Yer tax dollars filtered to PP? yup there too....Cut them off]
[Not YOURS, particularly, CW...but y’all get my meanin...]
By the way, that’s another Obama lie. PP doesn’t DO mammograms!

Even Komen cut them off. Obama lies, ho hum...

Methinks, you answered your own question : )
Amen! And to me it’s not chump change.
To me, this would be the most persuasive reason to vote for Romney. If they hate him he likely stinks less.
Come on PP, SPEND IT ALL!!
AMEN! And assuming (and praying) the Repubs get back in power in January they had damn well better put the kibosh on this crap.
Agree! Conservatives have been like Charlie Brown to the Republicans’ Lucy up to this point; they promise, then pull the ball away at the last second. If Republicans do get another shot at being in charge, they have to do it right this time.
‘total investment in the U.S. election to $5.7 million’
Wow,slaughtering babies is pretty big business.
time to take taxpayers money away from the baby killers and big bird and a lot more liberal organizations that cannot make it on their own.
of course, big bird will survive.
lehrer might not.
blessings, bobo
On 9 11 the United States lost 3000 Americans in a terror attack.
I wonder how many Americans we lost TODAY in Planned Parenthood Clinics?
Bet its near equal, every day of the week. If I was the sworn enemy of the United States, I would support Planned Parenthood Clinics. You simply get the most bang for your buck that way.
Exactly. It’s a no-brainer, just like requiring ID to vote. Unfortunately there are apparently many voters with either no brains, no morals, or both.
The church of PP gets preferential treatment by the adherents of its religion in government. It is about forcing their religious ideology and morals upon everyone through taxes, financial aid, propaganda and advertising to the captive and impressionable audience in public schools, and special protection and exemptions from laws everyone else has to obey. Their sacrament is human sacrifice. It is their path to utopia / heaven / nirvana / paradise. The establishment clause can never be allowed to interfere with THEIR religion.
Appears to be a misuse of public funds and prosecutable by law but you won’t see that under the Holder and 0Bama administration.
[ AMEN! And assuming (and praying) the Repubs get back in power in January they had damn well better put the kibosh on this crap. ]
In a week it will be forgotten by 99% of all republicans..
And democrats could care less..
